RRS is delighted to bring together two talented local artists, Felicity Keefe and Jane Sheppard, in an exhibition called EARTH this autumn.

Through subtle hues, light and expansion, the paintings of Felicity Keefe reimagine the elements and landscape of the British Isles, both physically and metaphorically, as they react to seasons, weather and time. Her work captures the distinctive atmosphere of the landscape, both brooding and starkly beautiful.

Jane Sheppard’s ceramics not only conjure up the natural tones, shapes and surfaces set in the terrain, but also express her interest in ceramics as a spiritual material, with the collective human experience rooted in this ancient practice.

Together in EARTH, Felicity and Jane’s work sit side by side in a celebration of the colour, texture and natural forces of Mother Earth.
